Legility seeks a Products Liability Attorney who is licensed in either Illinois or Indiana to assist a large law firm with litigation needs. Specifically, the Product Liability Attorney will take ownership of work product and must have the ability to independently run cases. The Products Liability Attorney will have frequent communication with the client and will be responsibility to handle the following: draft pleadings, research and draft motions, draft discovery requests and responses, document production, handle discovery disputes, attend mediation and settlement negotiations, attend experience-appropriate hearing, handle deposition preparation, defend and take fact witness depositions, conduct expert research and retention, engage in trial preparation, and provide strategic analysis of claims and defenses.
This is a remote, contract assignment for approximately 30 hours/week expected to last at least six months with the possibility of an indefinite extension and ability to increase hours if desired.
- A minimum of 7+ years of litigation practice experience with specific experience in products liability litigation with a recognized law firm
- Extensive litigation experience in all facets of litigation listed above and the ability to independently handle cases
- Ability to work remotely and without extensive supervision on products liability matters
- Law license in either Illinois or Indiana required
