Legility seeks a Real Estate – Residential Closing Attorney experienced in handling residential closings for a Title & Escrow Company located in Memphis, TN. The Real Estate - Residential Closing Attorney will have experience reviewing all transactional documents (individuals and potential investors) and issue spotting, performing title examinations and preparing opinions, working through title issues and obtaining title insurance, coordinating communications with lenders, buyers, sellers and other relevant parties to the transaction, reviewing all real estate and loan closing instruments, and managing all aspects of the final closing, title and disbursement. This is a full-time, contract position (30-40 hours/week) that will require the Attorney to work on-site. There may be some potential for partial remote but business is primarily conducted in-office.
Demonstrated experience handling all aspects of residential real estate closings as detailed above
Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work well with individuals at all levels of a real estate transaction
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent interpersonal communications
Ability to work on-site in Memphis
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active Tennessee law license in good standing with the State Bar
