Legility, a Consilio company, is working with a global manufacturing company looking to bring in a lawyer to support its industrial products unit. The work will focus on a mix of supply chain contract negotiations, real estate, and occasional litigation in conjunction with informing the business team about legal risks and contractual terms. This is a full-time, contract position, and the work can be done remotely. A temp-to-perm option is available for any applicants located in the Seneca Falls area (near Rochester or Syracuse) in New York.

Ideal candidates will have law firm and in-house experience. Candidates willing to work Eastern time zone hours are preferred.

Requirements:

• Solid drafting and negotiating experience in an in-house corporate setting and/or law firm
• Experience negotiating commercial real estate agreements
• Experience with commercial contracts and industrial manufacturing agreements, including products related to oil & gas, mining, pumps, & paper
• Juris Doctorate from accredited law school
• Active member in good standing of any state bar
• Familiarity with the courts, their procedures, policies, and personnel
• Excellent computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Outlook and Excel as well as video and video conferencing abilities
• Experience and ability to work independently on a remote basis; comfortable with technology; ability and desire to work on a contract basis
• Exceptional writing, research, analytical, communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to handle full caseload
